    Bold Quest

MADISON, Ind. - Soldiers of the Indiana Army National Guard’s Company B, 76th Special Troops Battalion and the Army’s 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division launched RQ-7B Shadow Unmanned Aerial Systems from Jefferson Proving Ground, near Madison, Ind., as part of Bold Quest 13.2, Sept 17.

Bold Quest is a multinational capabilities demonstration to test the interoperability of systems used by coalition militaries and new technology. The two-week event brings together technology companies and the militaries of 12 coalition nations to develop and improve the capabilities of soldiers to communicate, coordinate fire and reduce the risk of fratricide. The Bold Quest utilized the full range of Indiana’s defense infrastructure, conducting operations at Camp Atterbury, Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Jefferson Proving Ground, Grissom Air Reserve Base and the 122nd Fighter Wing facilities in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
