SOUTHWEST ASIA – A Grand Slam audience was treated to a comedy performance featuring Dean Edwards and Jay Larson at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing here Aug. 24.
Both featured comics have made countless television appearances. Edwards made his big break on Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam” and spent two seasons on the cast of “Saturday Night Live.” Larson has performed on “The Late Late Show,” “TOSH.0” and has his own 30-minute Comedy Central special.
The comedic duo both expressed appreciation for the sacrifices deployed service members make every day.
The 379th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron coordinates with the United Services Organization, Armed Forces Entertainment and sometimes contracts directly with special guests to bring them to the 379th AEW, and in this case, invite laughter to lighten the load for deployed service members.
