BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - The morale, welfare and recreation office coordinated with the Atlanta Track Club to host an overseas shadow race for the Peachtree 10-kilometer road race on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, July 4.
More than 600 runners took part in the event, which provided participating runners with an official ATC Peachtree T-shirt. The run kicked off MWR's full-day of activities scheduled during an Independence Day celebration on Bagram.
Shadow races for the Peachtree Road Races have been held for U.S. service members serving overseas since 2004.
