3d ESC Awarded Distinguished Unit Streamer Staff Sgt. Candice Funchess

FORT KNOX, Ky. - The 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) added the Quartermaster Distinguished Unit of Regiment Streamer to its colors June 18 before the change of command at Natcher Physical Fitness Center.

Brig. Gen. John E. O’neil IV, Quartermaster General of the U.S. Army, and Command Sgt. Maj. Spencer Gray, the Regimental Sgt. Maj of the Quartermaster Regiment, attended the ceremony to present the unit with the streamer and the certificate of induction as a distinguished unit of the Quartermaster Regiment.

  • The 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) and senior leadership came out to honor Brig. Gen. Flem Bowen “Donnie” Walker Jr., commanding general of the 3d ESC, for his promotion to brigadier general at a ceremony held here at the Saber and Quill on Aug. 2.
  • Maj. Bob Patton, the chaplain for 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, of Portsmouth, Va., dedicates his time and service to helping the Soldiers of Task Force-183.
