HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Old Hickory Lake announces the arrival of new 2013 Annual Day Use Passes now available for purchase at the Old Hickory Lake Resource Manager’s Office.

Located at 5 Power Plant Road, Hendersonville, Tenn., the Annual Day Use Passes can be purchased for $30 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Annual Day Use Passes entitle holders to use any Corps of Engineers operated boat launching ramps, swimming beaches, or day use areas at any project nationwide and is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Duplicate passes are no longer available, but the plastic hang tag is transferable from one vehicle to another.

“The Annual Day Use Pass admits the holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle,” said Noel Smith, natural resource specialist at Old Hickory Lake. “However, the Annual Day Use Pass does not cover or reduce special recreation permit fees, camping or dump station fees. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers policy does not allow for replacement of lost passes. If a lost pass is returned to the lake office, we can attempt to return the pass to its rightful owner, but we cannot give a replacement.”

Current Golden Age/Access passport holders or individuals possessing the new America the Beautiful Interagency Senior or Access Pass will receive a 50 percent discount on this fee. Note that the Corps of Engineers will accept only the ATB Senior or Access Pass. We will not honor the ATB Annual Pass or Volunteer Pass.

During the summer recreation season Annual Day Use Passes will also be available for purchase at Laguardo and Old Hickory Beach Day Use areas (May 11 – Sept. 3, 2013), as well as, Cedar Creek Campground from (April 1 – Oct. 30, 2013).
