TIKRIT, Iraq -- A new facility to provide 25th Combat Aviation Brigade Soldiers high-speed patient care officially opened at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, April 18.
The Troop Medical Clinic was publicly opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by Col. A.T Ball, commander of the 25th CAB, and 2nd Lt. Derrick Blackmon, the medical platoon leader with the 209th Aviation Support Battalion.
"This is a remarkable facility to provide for the Soldiers," Ball stated to the Soldiers at the aid station.
The level one aid station will provide acute trauma care, sick call and basic health care needs for Soldiers of the 25th CAB.
"Providing quality care and a sense of comfort gives patients a better feeling when they visit the aid station," said Maj. David Cole, brigade surgeon for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 25th CAB.
