Nearly 300 Soldiers and civilians ran for World Health Day at Contingency Operating Base Q-West, Iraq, April 7. The morning was cool with a light breeze, nearly ideal for running. As the start-time approached, the wind picked up. Fortunately, conditions held and the event finished just before the dust rolled in.

Spring Biathlon

More than 30 Soldiers and civilians ran and biked for the Spring Biathlon at Contingency Operating Base Q-West, March 29. The event consisted of an 11 km cycling portion followed by a 5 km run. Inclement weather, including high winds and dust, kept some away, but those who participated considered the event a success.
