Marines navigate the figure eight obstacle as part of the Moto Mark 1 Motorcycle Assessment course at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 17. The course combined practical application and classroom time to train Marines to recognize and avoid hazards on the road before they become a problem, thus giving experienced riders a new level of awareness and skill and preparing them to mentor other motorcycle riders within their respective commands.
