Donnelly will immediately begin Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., before joining the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team at Camp Shelby, Miss.

Guard Fishing Tournament Triumphs Over Poor Weather

Over 250 Louisiana Army National Guardsmen, friends and family members gathered at the rain-soaked Spring Bayou Wildlife Management Area in Marksville, La., March 28, for the sixth annual 1020th Vertical Engineer Company's Family Readiness Group Bass Tournament. One of the many fundraisers at the event was the sale of event t-shirts with the 1020th logo on the front. The unit also sold cookbooks, jambalaya and hamburger plates to raise money for the FRG.
