Col. Martin B. Pitts, commander, 16th Sustainment Brigade, pins a Purple Heart on to Sgt. David Leos, team leader, Bravo Company, 184th Infantry, 30th Combat Sustainment Battalion, 16th Sust. Q-West Soldiers Compete in Triathlon

1st Lt. Marshall Kulp, 574th Quartermaster Company, 30th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, blows away his competition at the Bushmaster's Triathlon at Contingency Operation Base Q-West, Iraq, June 28. Kulp finished with the fastest time of 53 minutes and seven seconds. The race consisted of a 400-meter swim, an 11-kilometer bicycle event, and a three-kilometer run.

The Q-West Dental Clinic opened its doors at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Contingency Operating Base Q-West, Iraq, May 23. The nearly $1 million facility has six dental chairs, a dental lab, a sterilization area, a waiting area and administrative offices.
