U.S. Marine Pfc. Sam Stanford Watts repeats the oath of allegiance to the United States becoming a U.S. citizen Nov. 11. The naturalization ceremony was held at Camp Victory's Al Faw Palace in Baghdad, Iraq.

Operation Proper Exit

Seven service members stood on a stage in the Al Faw Palace rotunda, Camp Victory, Iraq, while the room exploded with applause, Oct. 11. The seven service members were wounded in combat while deployed to Iraq. As a part of Operation Proper Exit the service members were able to return to Iraq and visit the locations where they served.

Marine Sgt. Eubanks, Atlanta, Ga., speaks with Marine Col. Edmund Bowen, Central Command Liasion to Multi-National Corps Iraq, Al Faw Palace, Camp Victory, Iraq, Oct. 11. Eubanks was injured during his 2005 tour in Iraq by improvised explosive devices. He is now returning to Iraq as apart of Operation Proper Exit. The program offers the opportunity to visit the locations where service members served during their last tour.
