A Navy Law and Order Detachment is deploying to perform a variety of missions in theater, one of which is protecting high ranking military personnel, dignitaries and special visitors in their area of operation. That mission requires specialized training, and to meet the requirements of this training, First Army Division West enlisted the expertise of Department of Army civilians from the United States Army Military Police School, Protective Services Training Branch, Special Tactics Training Division from Fort Lenard Wood, Missouri. It is their mission along with the 191st Infantry Brigade to train these Sailors.

First Army Division West, 191st Infantry Brigade, 1-356 Logistical Support Battalion's primary mission is providing logistical support for the eight battalions in the brigade. The 1-356 Logistical Support Battalion operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure service members deploying through Fort Lewis have transportation, water, and weapons necessary for training.

In a training scenario, insurgents crouch down in the bushes with their weapons ready, waiting for the approaching convoy. The first High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle reaches a trigger point on the road, a training round simulating an improvised explosive devise explodes and the Sailors of the Navy Detachment 7802 find themselves in an ambush situation.
