Lance Cpl. Jose Garcia, 22, an administrative clerk with Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7, competes in push-up contest of the strong man competition held here July 23. “Our goal was to boost the morale of the Marines, while trying to keep them motivated and encourage physical fitness,” said Sgt. Joseph Jennings, 27, the company police sergeant with Headquarters and Service Company. “Even if no one would have come out, we still would have had a good time.”
