His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Hassanal Bolkiah, met with military leaders from 18 Asia-Pacific nations at the Warrant Officers Mess June 20 in Muara, Brunei, during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Military Medicine Exercise (AHMX). The Sultan made a final tour of the exercise sites with all the military leaders and concluded the exercise at a luncheon. The multilateral exercise provides a platform for regional partner nations to address shared security challenges, strengthen defense cooperation, enhance interoperability and promote stability in the region.
