Fire Controlman 2nd Class Dace Pearson aims a .50-caliber machine gun at a pre-staged fast incoming attack craft piloted by the Royal Malaysian Navy during a fast attack craft drill aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2013. More than 1200 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor Leste.
