Fly-away security teams stay vigilant for mission-critical assets

Airman Brandon Gibson and Senior Airman Michael Bullen, 455th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Fly-Away Security Team members, step out on a mission that will carry them to several remote locations across Afghanistan June 10, 2013, out of Bagram Air Field. FAST members are required to fly on specific missions when a location requires an extra measure of security to ensure the aircraft and crew are protected from hostile fire or on-board security breaches. Gibson hails from West Fargo, N.D., and Bullen hails from Minot, N.D. Both are deployed from Hector Air Field, North Dakota Air National Guard. (USAF Photo/Master Sgt. Ben Bloker)
