Local elementary school students participate in unit Army day

Students from Marley Elementary School located in Glen Burnie, Md., participate in the run portion of a mock and abbreviated physical fitness test to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event was one of many hosted by the U.S. Army Asymmetric Group's Army day for the students held June 5 at Fort Meade, Md. Other events include drill and ceremony activities, hands on with Army equipment and vehicle displays, basic rappelling, a trip to the Fort Meade Museum and concluded with a certificate ceremony. The Army day provide a day for the students to build confidence in themselves, learn about the Army and demonstrate the many options that exists for their futures. (U.S. Army Photo by Lt. Col.   • Soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division participate in an adaptability practical exercise using an obstacle course during the Asymmetric Warfare Group's Asymmetric Warfare Adaptive Leader Program hosted at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. AWALP provides soldiers with a set of core competencies that are essential to being fully prepared to operate in complex and ambiguous environments. Usually hosted at Fort A.P.
