The single red line in the middle of the waterway represents the center line of the GIWW while the white lines on either side of the red center line show the channel toes of the channel. The blue lines represent the proposed setback off of the channel that will allow for full maintenance activities and other operations necessary to maintain the integrity of the channel. The waterfront structures shown in the image (recreational docks) show an example of permitted structures that were built in compliance with their approved permit and the proposed setback policy.
