Cpt. Robert Ridley listens outside of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fayetteville, N.C., March 17 as Vanessa Cole, widow of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Brent Cole, tells the story of her husband’s life and what he loved about being a pilot. After the ceremony, Ridley, commander, Company C, 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade and his troops cleaned up Andrews Road, which runs in front of the Church that the Cole Family attended together. The road, dedicated as CW4 Brent Cole Memorial Highway, is a tribute to CW4 Cole’s life and service. Brent Cole passed away when his OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter went down while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011. (Photo by U.S. Army Sgt.
