Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 13.3 fire M9 pistols from various positions in civilian attire while conducting protective security detail training during pre-deployment training in Crawfordsville, Ark., May 8. The Marines spent three weeks receiving a variety of training, ranging from foreign weapons handling to advanced driving techniques. SP-MAGTF Africa is an enduring rotation of Marines and sailors whose mission is to strengthen U.S. Marine Corps Forces Africa and U.S. Africa Command’s ability to assist partner nations in addressing regional security challenges.
