    Pfc. Michael V. Richardson, an Alexandria, Va., native and heavy equipment operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, halls a barrier segment during a deconstruction project at Twentynine Palms, Calif., May 12, 2013. Richardson used a small shovel and wire cutter to remove the wire mesh, which the unit sent to a local recycling facility.
