Marines with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 3 prepare for a uniform inspection aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 10. To conduct a uniform inspection, noncommissioned officers need to plan a schedule of pre-inspections, Marine Corps basic knowledge review and ensure that their junior Marines are more than ready. Maj. Gen. Steven Busby, the commanding general of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, believes that such inspections are an opportunity to empower noncommissioned officer leadership throughout the aircraft wing.
