Petty Officer 2nd Class Stephen Windle, a psychiatric technician from Miami, with 2nd Marine Regiment Operational Stress Control and Readiness (OSCAR), evaluates Marines during the testing portion of the Combat Life Saver course, April 30, 2013, during the Regiment Command Post Exercise. Marines learned basic medical care during the two-day course that is used for combat related injuries. “I love training Marines and Corpsmen; I love my job. Practicing trauma medicine and passing on my knowledge to others is what I’m about; the CLS course is a great opportunity for that. The future [of trauma medicine] depends on what we pass on,” said Petty Officer Second Class Marcus Marshall, 2nd Regimental Aid Station training officer and corpsman from Pittsburgh, Pa.
