Sgt. Chelsea Ruiz wins 36th CAB NCO of the Year

Congratulations to Sgt. Chelsea Ruiz of Austin, Texas, who won the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Competition. A trophy was presented to her May 3 by Lt. Col. Scott Kingsley, the brigade's executive officer. Sgt. Ruiz is in the communications section of HHC, 36th CAB and is currently deployed to Camp Buehring in Kuwait. The competition included land navigation, a physical fitness test, M4 marksmanship, medical skills, and appearing in front of a board of senior noncommissioned officers. The next level of competition is at Army Central Command where she’ll be up against noncommissioned officers from seven other active duty and reserve brigades that are deployed to the Middle East.
