Pre-Deployment: The Black Sheep, Tomcats and Avengers’ Military Appreciation Evening Muster

Marines, Sailors and family members of Marine Attack Squadron 214, Marine Attack Squadron 211, Marine Attack Squadron 311 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 were brought together for a military and family member combined pre-deployment briefing and barbecue at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma’s base chapel courtyard, May 1. The event offered daycare for children so that both military members and their spouses could receive pertinent information about the upcoming deployment.

The site is maintained, run, and made possible through the hard work of Yuma-based Marine Wing Support Squadron 371.

Inside the hangar, guests were kept upbeat with food, drinks, music and a bouncing house for the kids to enjoy. Many military veterans and community members were present at the homecoming to show their unified support for the troops.
