Coalition leaders emphasize strength of Afghan forces

Brig. Gen. Ardrzej Knap, deputy commanding general – coalition, Combined Joint Task Force – 101 and Regional Command East, deliberates with representatives from nine countries gathered for a coalition forces conference at Bagram Air Field, April 30, 2013. Coalition forces gathered to review the accomplishments of their nations in Afghanistan and to discuss the way ahead as military forces transition control of the country to the Afghans by the end of 2014. Conference leaders stressed that Afghan National Security Forces are now strong enough to defend their country without International Security Assistance Forces leading the way.
