Deployed soldiers from Multinational Battle Group-East toughed out a mile wearing women's footwear in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, April 27. According to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, every two minutes someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. These victims are more likely to suffer from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse. The event here brought people together in a positive way. "I think that people were able to keep in mind what the event is all about, while having a good time," said 1st Lt. Tyler Ramrath, who is deployed with the 32nd Military Intelligence Battalion. "I think that is important, especially with a topic as serious as this." (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Angela Parady, 121st Public Affairs Detachment)
