Naval Medical Center San Diego's command color guard marches to the flagpole during a monthly awards ceremony coinciding with morning colors. During the ceremony, 24 civilian and military personnel received a total of 11 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, one Meritorious Service Medal, and two Letters of Commendation. Additionally, NMCSD's Senior, Junior and Bluejacket Sailors of the Year were recognized, and four NMCSD clinics were acknowledged for their superior performance.
