Marines with 8th Communications Battalion check safety harnesses before climbing a communications tower at the battalion's compound at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, April 18. Four Marines are responsible for keeping Internet and phone communications running for Camp Leatherneck, Camp Dwyer and a myriad of other patrol and forward operating bases in Helmand and Nimroz Provinces. After a recent thunderstorm, the Marines climbed the 150-foot tall tower to help restore communications.
