Retired Col. Will Gideon, former 437th Airlift Wing Supply Squadron commander and Resource Management deputy commander, enjoys his retirement from his front porch, March 26, 2013, in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Gideon was interned as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam after his F-105 Thunderchief fighter jet was shot down on Aug. 7, 1966, and was held until his release March 4, 1973.
