Marines with 3rd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, talk to their loved ones about the .50 caliber machine gun March 21, 2013, during a Jane Wayne Day event. The event will be one of the last ones held by the unit before it is deactivated later this year. During the event the spouses, girlfriends, daughters and other loved ones got to experience what work is like for their Marines. The Jane Waynes saw the Marines shoot an M777A2 155-mm Howitzer, learned about different weapons systems and viewed the impact area where rounds from the Howitzers landed.
