DCK Pacific Construction, LLC was awarded the contract to design and, among other contractors, construct the two new buildings aboard the base. The ceremony was held near the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting building. The $46.6 million project includes a new terminal operations building, an ARFF building with individual dormitories for ARFF Marines, bays for fire trucks and office spaces. The complex is scheduled for completion in September 2014. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Kristen Wong)
