Sgt. Sissy S. Gouin, an unmanned aerial vehicle maintainer with Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2, puts a 45 pound plate onto the bar during a workout at the Devil Dog Gym March 6. “This is a club that helps motivate the patrons to go above and beyond,” said Gouin, is one of the top female lifters in the club, sitting second in the 115 pound class for this quarter with a lifted weight of 145 pounds. “You see someone lifting a weight higher than you and you get pumped and you say to yourself ok now I have to beat that weight.”

Calaway, a native of Yuma, Ariz., is currently deployed to Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). Calaway said in his spare time he likes to sleep, lift weights and eat.
