U.S. Marine Maj. Gen. Christopher S. Owens speaks at a mass briefing Feb. 10 at Wing One Royal Thai Air Force Base, Kingdom of Thailand prior to the start of exercise Cobra Gold 2013. Thai and U.S. service members were briefed on the goals of the exercise, as well as the aircraft that would be used during CG 13. Thailand and the U.S. are committed to working together in areas of common interest for the betterment of regional security. The alliance and partnership between the two countries continues to grow and strengthen. Owens is the commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
