First Lt. Charmain Lett, assistant S4, property book officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, prepares to perform a bench press on the road to joining the Forward Operating Base Kalsu 500-pound club. To join the club, a Soldier has to lift a total of 500 pounds combined in the bench press, dead lift and squat. Lett, an amateur bodybuilder, joined the club on March 30 after lifting a combined 570 pounds, 120 pounds of which came from this lift.
