District observes MLK holiday with day of service

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District Black Employment Program honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a day of service by delivering more than 100 pounds of collected toiletries and toys to local shelters in the downtown Los Angeles community. There was no loss of life or injuries reported. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles district sent a response team of engineering professionals to Fort Irwin to assess damage soon after a monsoon storm hit.
