Oregon Air National Guard 142nd Fighter Wing Commander, Col. Rick Wedan, congratulates Tech. Sgt. Douglas J. Matthews, of the 125th Special Tactics Squadron, following his awarding of the Purple Heart Medal at a ceremony held at the Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore., Jan. 23. Matthews was joined by five of his fellow airmen, who received Bronze Star Medals earned during recent deployments to the Middle East. U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Eric E.
