U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Quality Assurance Specialists are assisting with the Hawaiʻi Wildfires federal response in Lāhainā, Hawaiʻi, as the Debris Removal Mission gets underway. The QAs meet each morning to discuss the day’s activities and for the QA supervisor to reinforce standing safety procedures and make the QAs aware of any issues. The QAs begin their day at 5:00 a.m. and go out to the field to provide oversight of USACE-managed contractors involved in the debris mission to ensure that they are fulfilling the specifications of the contract.
