These route clearance soldiers have proven they are effective at locating improvised explosive devices and continue to save lives by neutralizing threats.
  • Route clearance vehicles from the 2/209th Route Clearance Company, Afghan National Army, along with the U.S. Army 190th Engineer Company, Task Force Roughneck, Task Force Sword, and other units line up for Operation Desert Dragon in a staging area in the Chahar Darah district. The operation was the first led ANA route clearance mission in northern Afghanistan.
