  • Engineers of the Afghan National Army Route Clearance Company, 1st Brigade, 209th Corps, use mine detectors to search for possible improvised explosive devices and other hazards during a route reconnaissance mission. Route clearance engineers are trained in detection and neutralization of explosive threats and conduct targeted missions to keep the roads safe and clear.
