Working together for a Solution

Konik One, a refugee camp located right outside the capital city of Podgorica, Montenegro, houses over two thousand men, women and children who were displaced during the civil wars in Kosovo during the late 1990's. Many of the housing shelters have little or no electricity or running water, and provide only limited protection from any sort of weather conditions. The Montenegrin government is working with UN programs for Humanitarian Assistance and Development, the United States and Area Support Team Balkans to try to improve the standard of living in these camps.
