Sharing the holidays

Capt. Tara Mitchell, deployed to Kosovo with Task Force Medical, hands presents out Saturday, Dec. 22 to students from the villages of Kostanjevo and Izhanc, two of the poorest areas in Kosovo. The students were invited to spend a day with the soldiers at Camp Bondsteel where they toured the command center, hospital and aviation hangers. Col. Waymon B. Storey and Command Sgt. Major Doug Gilliam spent the afternoon with the children and their teachers, opening presents and enjoying being kids. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Angela. Parady, 121st Public Affairs Detachment)

The barriers were placed in order to prevent heavy commercial vehicles from traveling the narrow, dirt route from Dragalic' to Babilic'. Maj. The obstacles allow for smaller passenger cars to travel through but restrict large commercial vehicles. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Angela Parady, 121st Public Affairs Detachment.)
