MARFORPAC CG visits Villamor Air Base, observes relief efforts

Lt. Gen. Terry G. Robling, left, is briefed by Col. Mark J. Menotti, center, Dec. 14 on the progress of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations at Villamor Air Base in Manila, Republic of the Philippines. Menotti showed Robling how landing support specialist and embarkation specialist Marines have helped streamline the organization and transportation of relief supplies by working side by side with Philippine service members. Robling is the commanding general of Marine Corps Forces Pacific and Menotti is the officer in charge of the III Marine Expeditionary Force Forward Command Element, which is providing coordination and command and control of Marine Corps support to relief efforts.
