Marines, Ambassador, USAID Mission Director discuss relief efforts

U.S. Agency for International Development Mission Director for the Philippines Gloria D. Steele discusses ongoing U.S. support to Philippine-led humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations during a live news interview Dec. 13 in Manila. During the interview Steele, Lt. Col. Jason W. Julian (left), Col. Mark J. Menotti (2nd from left) and U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Harry K. Thomas Jr. highlighted the U.S. government's response to provide relief support at the request of the Government of the Philippines. Menotti is the officer in charge for the III Marine Expeditionary Force Forward Command Element, which is providing coordination and command and control for Marine Corps support to relief efforts. Julian is the commanding officer of Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron 152, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
