  • Cpl. Israel Napoles-Flores, a generator mechanic with 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, is congratulated by his fellow Marines while draped in his his newly earned noncommissioned officer blood stripe during the I MHG promotions ceremony on Oct. 1.  The blood stripe, a red cloth worn on the sides of the dress blue uniform trousers of Marine NCOs and officers, honors the Marines who lost their lives during the Battle of Chapultepec in 1847.
