Nearly three tons of cocaine was offloaded from the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa at Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Dec. 5, 2012. The Tampa crew recovered more than 75 bales of cocaine, worth an estimated $55 million, from the water off Panama after the suspected drug smugglers jettisoned the contraband in an attempt to flee law enforcement.
