Petty Officer 1st Class Adam Clayton, a corpsman and instructor with Field Medical Training Battalion West gives a short tour of the FMTB-West Museum to staff members of Marine Corps Community Services at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Nov. 30. The MCCS staff visited FMTB-West to award the battalion with a $2,000 check for outstanding volunteer work during the Hard Corps Race Series 2012. Marine Corps Community Services chose Clayton, who volunteered and attended each race as the volunteer coordinator, to receive the award on behalf of the battalion. The battalion provided more than 200 volunteers during the Hard Corps Race Series 2012. The corpsmen who volunteered primarily provided medical assistance to competitors during and after the race.
