  • Two men help a wounded warrior get into a boat during Take a Warrior Fishing Day in Fort Worth, Texas. Take a Wounder Warrior Fishing is just one project that the Corps of Engineers will be partnering with Bass Pro as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between to two organizations to promote water and boating safety and improve fish habitats.
  • Boat captains bring their vessels to a staging area near a City of Grapevine's Meadowmere Park boat ramp at dawn, Oct. 14, to kick start a Take A Warrior Fishing event. Thirty boat captains volunteered their time and boats to host a wounded warrior and family members for fishing around Grapevine Lake.
  • Boats line the shore during the 3rd annual Take a Warrior Fishing event. More than 30 boats were used to provide 60 soldiers an opportunity to enjoy a day of fun on the water.
  • Lt. Col. Rene Brown energized the crowds at Warrior's Weekend at Port O'Connor, Texas, May 3. More than 125 wounded warriors and their families from Brook Army Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Bragg, N.C., who participated in a fishing tournament.
