Iron Brigade soldiers get fired up at shoothouse during NIE

As the point man of a team file formation, Pfc. Nicholas Potter, a cavalry scout assigned to the Troop A, 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, prepares to lead a team through a close quarter combat exercise at the Oro Grande Shoot House Training Facility in Fort Bliss, Texas, Nov. 13. Potter, a native of Willingboro, N.J., and his fellow soldiers took part in the close quarter combat training during Network Integration Evaluation 13.1 exercise. In addition to assessing the Nett Warrior and Joint Tactical Radio System Rifleman Radios, the “Iron Brigade” soldiers continued to conduct realistic combat training like the urban operations exercise held at the shoot house.
