Dmitry Malkov, infantryman, Caisson Platoon , 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) trains a soldier on how to prepare and maintain horse equipment at the Caisson horse stables on Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall, Va., Oct. 18. The Old Guard offers soldiers who join specialty platoons, like the Caissons, opportunities that are unavailable anywhere else in the Army.
